The Consumer Electronics Show, hosted by the Consumer Technology Association, is the world’s largest gathering in the consumer electronics industry. Attending CES is almost a rite of passage. CES 2018 promises to showcase must-see gadgets, innovations, and creations poised to change the world. If you’re a first-timer, it can be a bit overwhelming, with more than 4,000 exhibitors under one roof. Understand you won’t see everything, and that’s okay.

Like any large trade show, you’ll want to be prepared with the basics: comfortable shoes, business cards, snacks (trust us), a refillable water bottle, an extra phone charger, restaurant reservations made ahead of time, and the CES app. We’ve outlined six not-to-miss show highlights to make the most of your CES experience.

  1. Keynotes and breakout sessions — CES is chock-full of sessions, workshops, events, award presentations, and more. Whatever your interests are, you have the opportunity to hear from leaders and visionaries in the field. Don’t miss this year’s CES keynote speakers including Intel CEO Brian Krzanich and Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu.1.
