Project Brief

Audentes had partnered with Derse in the hopes to attend the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) Congress in May of 2020. When the in-person show was transitioned to a virtual experience, we worked with Audentes stakeholders to pivot their strategy to communicate their message and make an impact in the virtual space. Together, we took a “the sky is the limit!” approach and developed an impressive and educational virtual experience.

CHALLENGE

Audentes’ physical booth at EAN was a 10’ x 10’ inline, and the size of the space was leading to challenges for bringing their story to life. Derse was challenged to:

  • Guide Audentes stakeholders through the unfamiliar waters of the virtual congress and its elements and requirements.
  • Ensure their brand identity was represented properly in the virtual venue.
  • Advise their team on virtual marketing best practices and how they should blend with their omni-channel marketing efforts.
  • Create a virtual experience that was customizable and easy to update for leveraging at future shows.

Seems doable, right?
The final challenge: we had 30 days to make it happen.

SOLUTION

Virtual exhibits give you the opportunity to finally say “the sky is the limit!” and allow you to defy the laws of physics, dream up a design far outside your budget for a physical exhibit, and implement enhancements that would not be feasible on the trade show floor.

Audentes and our designers put their heads together to create an entirely new exhibit design. With our expertise in 3D design and modeling, customer journey development, web optimization, and animation, Audentes’ new 30’ x 50’ virtual booth provided the various stakeholders ample space to communicate each of their important messages.

But a stunning booth design alone wouldn’t help achieve the objectives Audentes set out to accomplish with their virtual exhibit. To optimize the virtual experience, our team of experts facilitated the development of the following features and benefits to create an impactful and results-driven experience.

Virtual Host

A virtual host and guided voiceover tour provided an enhanced experience for Audentes’ virtual space. We wrote the script, sought out the talent, and recorded the video and voiceover in two accents and two file types.

Flexible Design

The booth design is branded in a way where all content can be changed to match future shows with minimal spending to make the revisions. And it aligns with the brand guidelines for Audentes rather than one product or division.

Content Library

By implementing a library of video assets and downloadable content, visitors had the ability to view and reference Audentes’ messaging at a later date. This also gives them flexibility to swap out messaging for different shows or audiences.

Adaptability

We created three versions of the booth to allow visitors to choose their own experience.

  1. A 3D host-guided tour automatically takes you through the exhibit and content in a curated journey.
  2. A 3D self-guided tour gives you the ability to navigate the platform at your own pace and engage with specific content.
  3. A 2D mobile-friendly version automatically detects if you’re entering the virtual space from a mobile device and advises you to adjust to this format if using an older device.

Reporting and Analytics

The platform itself and use of web forms enabled Audentes to track every action an attendee completes. We have the ability to know how visitors navigate, what they engage with, and can report on their activity to know what is driving results within your virtual space.

Customer Service

Our team supported Audentes through their parent company’s legal review and regulatory approvals leading up to the show open. We also provided real-time show support and modified the virtual exhibit and content on the fly.

RESULTS

The first day showed booth traffic was equal to their previous in-person event. With our experience, we made the suggestion to remove the form fill that attendees were prompted with in order to “enter” the Audentes virtual booth. However, by removing this, it did not stop us from being able to track visitors. By partnering with EAN and their event platform tracking abilities, we were able to receive the metrics and traffic of those who chose to visit the Audentes booth. This mid-show recommendation increased booth traffic by 300%.

Audentes was elated with the reach they were getting with their virtual space. Also, the show itself is now on record as the largest neurology show ever.

“Our landing page looks great, all links work, and our virtual booth plays nicely. I checked a couple of other companies, not many have booths and the ones I clicked, links weren’t working. And did I mention that everyone is so happy with the booth, looks awesome!”
